3^rd Annual “Satguru Jagjit Singh Sangeet Sammellan” commenced yesterday with fervour in the divine presence of Sri Satguru Uday Singh Ji. Satguru Ji lightened up the lamps and initiated the musical extravaganza. Gian Singh Ji enthralls the whole audience with his vibrant performance on ‘Jori Pakhawaj’, after that Ustad Harjinderpal Singh Ji enchanted the audience with his master strokes on Santoor and gave a well synchronized performance with his counterpart Shri Rajesh Malviya Ji on Tabla. In the end Ustad Rashid Khan ji mesmerized the whole audience with his marvelous notes while performance of his musical counterpart Pt. Subhankar Banerjee was like icing on a cake, Ustad Rashid Khan summed up the musical evening with his spellbind thumri ‘yaad piya ki aye’.
