Sanya, China: Sri Satguru Uday Singh Ji, a revered leader known for his contributions to agriculture and social welfare, has been honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Asia Pacific Seed Association (APSA) at its 30th annual session in Sanya, China. This recognition highlights his transformative role in advancing the seed sector, positively impacting smallholder farmers and agricultural development globally.
Under inspiration from Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji and with the efforts and guidance of Sri Satguru Uday Singh Ji, ‘Namdhari Seeds’ became a major employer in the vegetable seed industry. By developing high-quality seeds, smallholder farmers became capable of achieving better yields and increased income. "Namdhari Seeds" company provides direct employment to around 3,000 individuals and indirect employment to approximately 10,000 farmers. Satguru Ji has supported healthcare facilities at various parts of the country.
The organizers profoundly thanked Satguru Ji for attending the 30th annual function and remarked that they remembered him fondly in earlier sessions. In his remarks, Satguru Ji expressed satisfaction that seed sector is working hard to feed 800 crore people around the globe.
